We are on Summer Break from classes!
Classes resume 4th February.

We’re South West Australia’s not-for-profit swing dance school and community. Our mission? To spread the joy of Lindy Hop, create fun and inclusive spaces to learn and dance, and bring the magic of jazz to life by supporting local musicians, dancers, and teachers.
Who we are

So why start?
It's the best! But you're probably looking for a better description than that.
Lindy Hop is:

Lindy Hop is an improvisational dance full of play, expression, and connection with the music and person you're dancing with.
It's a street dance born 100 years ago in Black American communities, outside the formalities of the studio. It's about community, individuality, and resilience.
Social
Lindy has a large and vibrant community across the world. By learning, you're connecting to a global community of enthusiastic dancers. No matter where you are in the world, there's likely a Lindy community nearby.
It's one of the few dances you can learn where you can dance regularly to a live band

South West, Australia
SOUTHWESTSWINGMR@GMAIL.COM
South West Swing acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet and dance, Wardandi boodja, the land of the Saltwater people. We acknowledge their continuing connection to land, sea, and culture and pay respect to all members of Aboriginal communities, their elders past, present, and emerging.
Photos for our website from Red Leopard Photography, Fudz Qazi, and Mark Rotondella. Thank you to these dancers behind the lens.
